What is the best time?

Each year, in the spring season, life begins anew. In the ‘dead of winter’ we can feel as though we have lost hope. As the winter drags on, we long to see budding trees, sunshine and of course baby wild horses!

Many visitors ask – ‘what is the best time of year to see the wild horses’. While each season bring a different perspective of Mustang family life, new born foals bring so much joy to our hearts! It is hard not to smile and be overcome with delight at watching their little tails flicker, their nimble little legs frolicking, and their instant instinct to nurse from their mare.

The family bands are closer together and look to support each other during this volatile time. Watching the family dynamics and observing how stallions and mares protect their families, it gives us hope. It gives us a sense of optimism for the future.
