Congressman Raul Grijaiva
Not since 1971 and Senator Baring from the State of Nevada, has a Federal Congressman spoken up for the wild horses of the West. On Wednesday, September 4, 2013, Congressman Raul Grijaiva took a stand for our American Mustang. The Congressman took a tour of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Palomino Valley Center (PVC) in Reno NV to see first hand the over forty-year-old program that has failed to serve the wild horses as intended.
The event was attended by dozens of wild horse advocates and every news channel in Reno.
It is a long road that he will need to pave with many in Congress who simply give lip service to the existing law. However, he has the backing of more than 70% of the American people. It was a landmark day that gave much hope for the future of our beloved Mustano!
