Do you have room to become an available sanctuary?
Jackson Mountain Mustangs rounded up in June and July near Winamucca, NV are at the Palomino Valley Center. Most will end up in long term holding facilities in the midwest or south east. There are currently some 40 thousand wild horses in long term facilities. Horses are taken from their designated public land, and this is a poor solution that compounds the problem. BLM is looking for folks with acerage to open sanctuaries. If you or someone you know would like to consider opening a sanctuary, you can contact the BLM or Sonny Boys Tours for more information.
