Saving horses from the meat factory

Sonny with his little brother and mother continue to enjoy the freedom to live life as a wild horse. His other wild horse friends and neighbors were not so lucky. They were captured and taken to the Kill-Buyer Auction facility in Fallon, Nevada. Luckily many advocate groups and individuals came together to ‘bail them out’.

Thirty horses on Wednesday, September 26 and twenty-three last week were nearly sold to buyers who routinely purchase the mustangs and horses for their meat. Wild horses hold a special place in our hearts and in our minds. Their presence is a reminder of everything we hold true.
